Police Crack Down on Drug Trafficking in Svay Rieng: Five Arrested

Svay Rieng: In a significant anti-drug operation, police arrested four Vietnamese suspects, including one female, and one Cambodian in connection with a drug trafficking case on June 28, 2024. The arrests took place at a rented house in Bavet Kandal village, Sangkat Bavet, Bavet city, Svay Rieng province.

On the morning of July 1, 2024, the suspects were presented to the public before being sent to court. The individuals arrested are identified as Do Tien Tung, 36, Long Theung Lim, 24, Nguyen Mantien, 34, Dang Thi Phuong, 25, all Vietnamese nationals with uncertain occupations, and Wang Nivin, 28, a Cambodian national.

The police report details the extensive list of confiscated items during the operation: 1356.51 grams of methamphetamine, 254.59 grams of ketamine, and 22.62 grams of ecstasy, totaling 1761.71 grams of drugs. Additionally, an ambiguous substance weighing 2267.49 milligrams, 8 boxes of Extrajoss powder, 10 bottles of Lyyfeeling ink, 6 bottles of milk color ink, 25 bottles of Clearama white powder, 25 kilograms of white powder, 25 liters of alcohol, 3 drug scales, 4 bag dryers, 3 blenders, 1 bottle of powder, 8 mobile phones, 1 car, 1 motorbike, 3 passports, 3 bank cards, and various other equipment were seized.

The five suspects and the seized exhibits have been transferred to the Svay Rieng Provincial Court for further legal proceedings.
